Youtuber Buugane has shared another fascinating video exploring how the island used to look, this time focussing on the old swing bridge.
Buugane‘s videos have previously explored Marine Drive, late 19th century Douglas and the Palace Entertainment Grounds just before the outbreak of the First World War.
The latest video focussing on the swing bridge that used to cross Douglas harbour before it was replaced by the road bridge in use today.
Taking a tour not only of the harbour, but the inner workings of the control tower which still looms large over the modern roundabout, the video also looks at the final notes written in the log book when it closed in July 1998.
