Film Production has been identified as the Isle of Man’s hardest industry to find jobs in, according to new analysis by DPHK Consulting.
The review, based on the latest Isle of Man Labour Market Report from Statistics Isle of Man, found zero Job Centre vacancies remaining in Film Production at the end of April 2026, the lowest of any sector.
Property Owning & Managing and Wholesale Distribution followed, each with just one vacancy, while Utilities recorded two. Across the island, 535 vacancies remained at the Job Centre overall.
Job Opportunities
A DPHK Consulting spokesperson said the findings highlight how limited advertised opportunities were in several parts of the labour market.
“Film Production stood out with no Job Centre vacancies remaining at the end of April,” they said. “Several other sectors had only one to three openings.”

The analysis ranked sectors by the number of Job Centre vacancies remaining at month end, using lower vacancy counts as a simple proxy for industries where published openings were comparatively harder to find. Sectors marked “N/A” in the official report were excluded.
DPHK Consulting notes that the figures reflect Job Centre listed vacancies only, not the full range of opportunities available across the wider Isle of Man labour market.
