Fines have been issued to five people and nine businesses for income tax and national insurance related offences.
In total, magistrates issued fines totalling £21,895.
The failure to pay Income Tax Instalment Payments and/or Class 1 National Insurance Contributions by the due date were broken down as below:
- A1 Sheds Limited, of Clock Tower Industrial Estate, Foxdale, 4 offences, fined £1,750.00
- AGR Motorsport Limited, of Balthane Industrial Estate, Ballasalla, 14 offences, fined £3,850.00
- Bespoke Vehicle Sales Limited, of Isle of Man Business Park, Douglas, 8 offences, fined £4,480.00
- Buck Recycling Limited, of Stoney Mountain Road, Eairy, 5 offences, fined £1,320.00
- Castle Consultants Limited, of Athol Street, Douglas, 14 offences, fined £3,250.00
- CBB Limited T/A Pizza Napoli, of Woodbourne Road, Douglas, 3 offences, fined £1,880.00
- Martynka Limited T/A Best Kebab, of Marina Road, Douglas, 3 offences, fined £850.00
- Priced Right Painters and Decorators Limited, of Robert Stephen Close, Douglas, 6 offences, fined £1,615.00
Tax Fines
Further fines were broken down as below:
- Failed to submit Personal Income Tax Return Form(s) at the correct time: Two people total fined £300.
- Failed to comply with a Notice to submit Accounts in support of a Tax Return: Three people total fined £1,450.
- Failed to comply with a Notice to submit Company Income Tax Return Form(s): One business total fined £1,150.
With regards to the cases noted above, where the relevant returns or accounts remain outstanding, a Court Order was granted requiring the submission of this information.
