‘Flower tower’ could be back at St Thomas’ Church

Planning permission is being sought for a ‘flower tower’ outside St Thomas’ Church in Douglas.

The art installation is made up of knitted flowers attached to a 20 metre long net and would be strung up on the side of the church.

It would be supported with ropes attached to the building and these would be provided by the Laxey Mines Research Group.

The application says a ‘suitable’ barrier would also be put up on steps to prevent access under the tower.

The application is currently pending consideration and can be found here.
