Former Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission inspector Tommy Corlett has joined SolutionsHub as Head of Regulatory Assurance and Remediation.
Corlett spent nine years with the Gambling Supervision Commission, beginning as a Gaming Inspector before moving into AML/CFT Inspections as a Senior Inspector in November 2023.
In his most recent role, he was responsible for assessing whether firms were meeting their anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism obligations, examining the effectiveness of controls and identifying areas requiring improvement.
SolutionsHub CEO Lee Hills said Corlett’s experience from “the regulator’s side of the table” would be invaluable to clients, particularly in understanding regulatory expectations and addressing compliance issues.
Corlett said he was looking forward to helping businesses understand “what regulators are actually looking for when they test something in practice”.
In his new role, he will support clients entering regulated markets as well as online gambling operators managing ongoing compliance, using his regulatory experience to assist with licensing applications, remediation work and maintaining compliance standards.
