Queens Pier Restoration Trust has thanked a produce show for a donation and showed exactly where money raised for it goes.
Jackie Faragher presented the trust with a cheque from Andreas Root Show for £350.
This came just as the trust took delivery of its latest batch of steel to restore the historic pier.
It said: “This isn’t the first donation we have received from the Andreas Root Show, and we are very grateful to them for their continued support of the restoration of the pier.
“A huge thank you from the Chairman and all volunteers at the pier, to the organising committee and everyone that contributes to the very successful annual Root Show.”

After the steel arrived on the island with Mezeron, it was delivered to the pier to be made ready for us.
The trust said: “In order to offload these extremely heavy and large items safely, we called in the experts, Aileen and Stephen Broad of Isle of Man Heavy Crane Services Ltd.
“All the steel was lifted superbly from Mezerons two trailers and positioned in the compound with Aileen attaching and ensuring all the girders were strapped evenly for lifting and Stephen at the controls of “Super Grover”.
“We must thank Mezeron and their driver Ted and our team of volunteers for their help with this important delivery.
“We give a very special thanks to our friends Aileen & Stephen who once again have given their services free of charge to the pier, your continued support is invaluable. THANK YOU.”
The team said they will be installing the new steel once the weather and tides play ball.
