Ramsey Pet Supplies has had to set up an emergency premises after being told their building wasn’t safe to be in.
The pet shop is now operating from two shipping containers, loaned from Mezeron, on the quayside opposite the building the shop was in.
Manx.News was informed that the pet shop was told by the government the week before Christmas that the building wasn’t safe to be in due the next door building being at risk.
We understand that the owner of the other building was granted a demolition order, but work was stopped due to issues with planing approval which the owner, who wants to redevelop the site, is working to resolve.
