This week His Excellency and Lady Lorimer explored the island’s landscape via horseback.
Bryony Collison invited the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Lorimer to visit Ballahimmin Riding & Pony Trekking Centre.
They set off on a beautiful trek over the hills, guided by Bryony and Cheryl Atkinson.
Faithful Steeds
Government House said: “They were very grateful to their faithful steeds, Barney and Wanda, who enabled them to see the Island from a whole new perspective.
“Back at the yard, they were fascinated to see a demonstration by local farrier, Alice Atkinson.
“It was amazing to see how much effort goes in to keeping horses’ feet in top condition. His Excellency and Lady Lorimer were also pleased to meet with Juan Cannell who owns this incredible farmland.”
