Laxey and Corinthians played out an entertaining 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon while Onchan beat Rushen to go third in the Canada Life Premier League.
That win takes Onchan into third one point behind Laxey and Corinthians with the top three all unbeaten.
Dean Turton of Upfront Footy described the action at Glen Road: “The miners had more of the first half possession, the whites grew stronger in the second, and torrential rain with swirling winds made the final half hour a war of attrition.”

Onchan
The O’s and the Spaniards met at Nivison Stadium on Saturday, under the watchful gaze of Paul Hatton with the home side taking the lead in the 10th minute through Aaron Christian.
A Tom Creer penalty made it 2-0 just before the break. Jordan Watterson scored to make it 2-1 but Creer grabbed a second to make it 3-1 and hand Rushen their first defeat of the season and send Onchan third.
Next week’s opponents? Corinthians.
Elsewhere in the top flight, defending champions Peel won 10-2 against Braddan to close the gap to the sides at the top to six points.
Union Mills won 2-7 at Old Boys, St Johns and Ayre drew 2-2 and St Mary’s were beaten 1-2 at home by Ramsey.

In the Ardern & Druggan Division 2, Colby beat Marown 1-5 to close in on Castletown at the top of the league while RYCOB beat D&D 0-4 to go third, seven points back from the Moonlighters.
The other game saw Douglas Royal beat Malew 4-1.
