The Albion Knitting Company, which was previously based in London, has been officially opened by the Lieutenant Governor.
Known for its luxury knitwear manufacturing, the company has produced items for well-known luxury brands such as Givenchy, Chloe, Paul Smith, Studio Nicholson and Belstaff.
At the new factory in Ballasalla, Sir John and Lady Lorimer celebrated the arrival of valuable expertise and the creation of new jobs within the island’s community.
Government House said: “It was also very exciting to hear that Albion Knitting Company IOM Ltd has joined forces with the Isle of Man TT Races to launch an exclusive collection of TT-branded knitwear.
“Set to debut in early May, ahead of the 2025 event, this collaboration celebrates their relocation to the Isle of Man and its embrace of Manx culture and motorsport heritage.
“We are delighted to welcome the team at Albion Knitting Company to the Island. We wish them the best of luck in their first year, and beyond.”
