Grab a beer, put on some shorts as the sun is coming out to play

It’s happening, everyone. Stay calm. The freaking sun is coming out to play this weekend as it finally looks like spring has sprung. As I write this, I can just taste a fruity cider, hear the music on Port Erin Beach, and it feels like summer is nearly here. And quite frankly, it’s about bloody time. Today (April 20) is not only the day that we will witness a rare Jupiter and Uranus conjunction for the first time in Taurus since 1941, but it is going to be SUNNY!!!!!! The wonderful folks at the Ronaldsway Met Office say it will be a ‘fine and sunny day with light winds and a maximum temperature of 12 °C’. Ok, so it’s not warm, but the sun is out, so to be honest, I don’t care, as it’s not raining or blowing a hooley.

Hopefully the rest of you, like me, will overindulge in the first bit of sun we’ve seen in a few weeks, but I have more good news: you can spend this hungover Sunday in the sun. Although it will turn a little cloudier in the afternoon, there is no rain – the little wins. Dry with sunny spells, turning cloudier through the afternoon.

The sun is here to stay

Honestly, this makes me cry happy tears. There is bugger all rain forecast for another two days. Monday (April 22) will be mostly dry and cloudy, with the small risk of the odd spot of rain during the afternoon. I can live with that. The wind is going to be bad either with a variable 5-10, settling NE 10-15 in the morning, then N overnight. Tuesday (April 23) will be mostly cloudy, with some bright or sunny intervals developing in the afternoon. Again, not a lot of wind is forecast. Stop reading this now and go out and enjoy the sunshine and top up your vitamin D levels. God knows we all need it.
