Former Guernsey chief minister Jonathan Le Tocq has been charged with making more than a thousand indecent images of children among other offences.
The 61-year-old faced eight charges at Guernsey’s Magistrate’s Court.
The BBC has reported that these included the creation of indecent images of children, Categories A, B and C as well as possessing extreme pornography, and offences relating to the misuse of telecommunications.

The politician was also charged with using four accounts on X, formerly Twitter, to send messages and images that were “of an indecent character”.
The alleged offences occurred between June 2023 and July 2025.
Le Tocq has been remanded in custody.
