Billy Harris has missed out on a spot in the Australian Open after losing the final qualifying round.
After an exciting year for the Manx tennis ace, Harris had hoped to put together a run in the first major of the season.
However, he was beaten in the early hours of this morning, going down in straight sets 7-5, 6-2 to Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak.
The British number four made his Grand Slam debut as a wildcard at Wimbledon last year, where he lost in the first round and has gone on to play in the Davis Cup for GB.
After climbing as high as 101 in the world last year, the 29-year-old is currently sat in 126th, but will be looking to break into the top 100 this season.
