All 400 bookings for Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation’s screenings filled up in just 45 minutes.
The slots became available at 3pm on Tuesday, but chairman Paul Healey said by 3:45pm they were all gone.
Organised in association with Cardiac Risk in the Young, the screenings have helped detect previously undiagnosed heart defects in young people on the island.
Paul said: “We were amazed and delighted that by 3:45pm all places were fully booked, all 400.
“Thank you to everyone who has taken up the opportunity, please turn up for your appointment or let Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) know if you cannot make it in the build up. Look forward to seeing you all.”
The charity was set up in memory of Craig Lunt who died aged just 25 in April 2005 due to a previously undiagnosed heart defect.
