A Charlie Higgins hat-trick secured FC Isle of Man’s first home victory of the season in a dramatic 3-2 win.
That win lifts Paul Jones’ side out of the bottom two of the NWCFL Premier Division.
The Ravens established control with two first-half goals from Higgins.
His initial breakthrough came in the 13th minute, followed by a second on the half-hour after a slick team move.
The first period was marred, however, by a serious injury to defender Adam Kerruish, which resulted in a straight red card for Charnock Richard’s Gareth Peet.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, a resurgent Charnock Richard fought back in the second half.
Jordan Darr scored twice to pull the visitors level, cancelling out the Ravens’ earlier advantage.
The decisive moment arrived late on when Callum Sherry was fouled in the penalty area.
Higgins confidently converted the spot-kick to complete his hat-trick and secure the win.
Goalkeeper Adam Killey then produced two spectacular late saves to deny a Charnock equaliser, ensuring the Ravens held on for a crucial three points in front of a home crowd.
