Today is the Friday informally known as Black Eye Friday.
That’s not a term people like to use anymore, so let’s maybe leave it in the past, but with that, don’t be a prat to the person serving you and try not to punch anyone.
Anyway, tonight will see plenty of Christmas drinkers hit the town, but the most important thing is how you’re getting home.
Whether you’re out in Ramsey, Peel, Castletown, maybe even Douglas, getting home without a lift from the cops to the Police HQ or being in an ambulance is a win.
Night Owl
The last buses out of Douglas are at 12:15am.
Those buses are N3, this is for everyone heading to Willaston, Governor’s Hill, Onchan (note to self, this doesn’t stop at Manx Arms, it goes down Avondale Road and turns left), Laxey, Dhoon, Ramsey, you get the idea.
Going South is the N1 while the N5 is heading West as far as Peel.
Into Douglas
If you’re heading the other way, the N1 leaves Port St Mary at 12:10am and Port Erin at 12:17am. It will be in Castletown at 12:37am.
From Ramsey inwards, the bus will leave the town’s bus station at 12:20am, pass through Laxey at 12:40am and Onchan at 12:53am.
For those heading in from Peel, your last bus is at 12:55am.
Taxis
Otherwise, there will be taxis about, take one of them, don’t be sick in them, don’t be a prick to the driver and just get home before trying to eat your kebab.
