The Enterprise Minister will face a series of questions relating to the recent decision to increase the minimum wage from April next year.
Tim Johnston MHK will answer the questions next Tuesday (November 4) in the House of Keys.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse will ask how many businesses contacted the Minister and officers in his department about the minimum wage in the seven days commencing October 23.
A letter on behalf of over 300 businesses was sent to Members of Tynwald strongly opposing the implementation of a minimum wage increase on October 15.
The full number of businesses that contacted DfE will come to light during Question 22 in next week’s sitting.
