The owners of the landmark (and very good) Victory Cafe have announced they are looking to sell the business.
Benn and Vicky Quirk shared the news in a heartfelt statement, saying, “A surprise for some but known to a few… we are selling Victory Cafe! It’s ‘The Quirk Plan’ and 2025 is key.”
Explaining their decision, they said: “Being self-employed can easily lead you to a bit of a wandering path so……always have a plan, Stan!
“Why 2025? I turned 50, it’s our 20th Wedding Anniversary, our eldest turned 18, finished A Levels and heads off to Vietnam with a backpack and a Revolute card, our middle child finished her GCSE’s and will start A Levels, our youngest starts GCSE’s.
“Mum turned 75 and my Dad would have turned 90. So, it’s a year of super important change for our family and the Victory Cafe.”

Reflecting on their journey, the Quirks said, “In 2019, we signed the lease on a derelict building with a vision of a super-cool space on top of a mountain with a race track running right along the side.
“Our vision is complete, but there is still so much more potential for the Cafe to thrive and grow under new management.”
They highlighted unexpected successes, saying: “The shop, which started as a bit of a space filler, generates over 20% of our turnover and has helped spread the cafe’s name all around the world.”
Profitable
Despite challenges, including Covid and economic shocks, they said: “We made it!!! We created a profitable, fab day time cafe with a magical team.”
The couple also celebrated the cafe’s role in motorsport and community events, noting that it had allowed them to work with the likes of Norton, Honda, and hosted parties for Dave Molyneux and the Crowe brothers.
Looking ahead, they said: “I firmly believe we have created a venue which is ready to scale up. But my family is ready for something completely different and new.”
