Island to host Countering Financial Crime Conference

A flagship event is being organised this autumn to strengthen efforts to protect the Isle of Man from the harmful impact of financial crime.

The Countering Financial Crime Conference 2024, scheduled to take place at the Villa Marina on Wednesday 9 October, will bring together a diverse group of experts, practitioners, and policymakers.

Speakers will share their professional insight and highlight best practice aimed at counteracting money laundering, terrorist financing, proliferation financing, and other financial crime.

The conference is being organised by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority in conjunction with Island agencies including the Government’s AML Policy Office, Financial Crime Partnership, Gambling Supervision Commission, Financial Intelligence Unit, Constabulary, Customs and Immigration, HM Attorney General’s Chambers, and Department for Enterprise.

A number of off-Island presenters will provide an international perspective to a range of current and future financial crime challenges.
