Manx Care has jointed a movement designed to remind service users, carers, and patients, that it is OK to ask questions in Manx Care settings.
Originally launched by NHS Scotland, “It’s OK to ask” focuses on people asking questions at times such as during an appointment or as an inpatient.
Feedback received from service users, patients, carers and families has highlighted that one of the biggest themes for improvement is around communication and the importance for all services to provide clear, concise information.

Experience and Involvement Lead, Karen Maddox, said: “We hope that by launching “It’s OK to ask”, the people that use our services will feel more empowered to prepare questions prior to appointments and to know that it is always OK to ask a question.
“Both the Experience and Involvement Team and the Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service (MCALS) take feedback extremely seriously and are committed to improving people’s experiences within Manx Care settings.
The teams are also delivering the campaign to Manx Care colleagues internally, encouraging them to remind people that it’s OK to ask.”
