Suzy Eddie Izzard will headline the Isle of Man Arts Council’s 2026 Annual Lecture at the Gaiety Theatre this September.
The acclaimed comedian, actor, writer and cultural trailblazer will discuss a career that spans stand‑up, theatre, film and political activism, as well as her perspectives on creativity, identity and reinvention.
Sarah Maltby MHK, Chair of the Isle of Man Arts Council, said Izzard remains “one of the most fearlessly creative and endlessly fascinating figures in British cultural life, a performer who has continually reinvented herself and refused to be defined by convention.”
She added that the Council is “thrilled to have Suzy joining us as our guest speaker for 2026.”
The Annual Lecture series continues to bring leading creative voices to the Island, with previous speakers including documentarian Louis Theroux, designer Kevin McCloud, actor Dame Joanna Lumley and singer Paloma Faith.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday (June 22) via the VillaGaiety website for the event on September 21.
As part of the Arts Council’s subsidised ticketing programme, Amphitheatre and Gallery seats will be available for £10. Standard prices are £35 for Circle, £30 for Stalls, and £100 for private boxes.
