Peel RNLI has officially welcomed Jordan Davies as its newest volunteer crew member after the long‑time supporter turned 18 earlier this month.
Jordan has spent six years helping the station in any way he could, inspired at age 12 by the TV series Saving Lives at Sea.
Although too young to join the crew until now, he regularly attended events and closely followed lifeboat operations around Peel.
He said joining the team means he can “learn, contribute, and be part of this essential charity”, adding that he hopes one day to train as a coxswain.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Paul Thompson said Jordan’s commitment has been “nothing short of inspiring”, and hopes his journey encourages other young people to volunteer.
Peel RNLI says the dedication of volunteers like Jordan is vital to its lifesaving work.
