Kayleigh Sets New Record

Goalkeeper Kayleigh Greggor has set a new record for the Isle of Man women’s team.

Her record is completing the most clean sheets for a Manx women’s goalkeeper at the Island Games following the 0-0 draw against Gozo on Sunday (July 13).

Since her first Island Games back in 2015, she made her debut in a 6-1 win over Gibraltar.

Kayleigh’s Record

This is her fifth biennial tournament, Kayleigh’s previous shut-outs came against the following matches:

• 3-0 v Ynys Mon – Gotland Island Games
• 3-0 v Ynys Mon – Gotland Island Games
• 5-0 v Isle of Wight – Orkney Island Games

The previous holder was Elizabeth “Bert” Stanley with three.

One record which did come to an end yesterday (July 14) for Kayleigh with goalkeeper Caitlin Beaty completing the entire match against Froya.

It is now Becky Corkish and Stevie Mallon who have played in every match under Wayne’s time in charge.
