PR consultant Kirstie Nickson has become the first practitioner on the Isle of Man to achieve Chartered status from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
Chartered Practitioner status recognises senior PR professionals who can demonstrate strategic expertise, ethical decision‑making, leadership and a sustained commitment to professional development.
Following a rigorous assessment day covering ethics, strategy and leadership, the CIPR confirmed Kirstie as the island’s first Chartered PR.
Kirstie, who co‑founded Sidekick PR more than a decade ago and returned home to Ramsey in 2022, said the accreditation marks a major milestone in her career.
She highlighted the impact of strategic communications on reputation, trust and business objectives, adding that Chartership reinforces her commitment to delivering high‑level counsel while upholding CIPR’s professional standards.
She said being the first Manx practitioner to achieve the accreditation was “particularly meaningful”, noting the island’s ambitious business community and her pride in bringing Chartered status to support organisations locally and further afield.
