A Douglas City Council warden has rescued a kitten after it bolted through busy streets in the city centre.
Reports of cat noises around Shaws Brow car park earlier today led Senior City Warden Mandy Edwards to the young kitten, temporarily nicknamed Doolish.
Before staff could reach him, he sprinted across Barrack Street and then over Lord Street, narrowly avoiding traffic.
Edwards, assisted by a member of the public, eventually managed to catch the kitten outside Hanover House. He is now safe and on his way to the ManxSPCA.
Douglas City Centre Management praised Edwards, her team and everyone who helped during the chase.
