Maughold Head looking towards Cumbria

Lancaster University are offering a full day study devoted to the maritime history and heritage of the Isle of Man.

The study day on May 18 will include speakers Allison Fox and Christopher Weeks of Manx National Heritage and Andrew Choong of the National Maritime Museum Greenwich.

The full-day study event will look at ‘All at Sea’, an exhibition organised by Manx National Heritage, celebrating the Island’s rich maritime history.

It will cover efforts to preserve the 18th century yacht ‘Peggy’ and will explore ‘Unpath’d Waters’, a national project promoting new research into maritime history and, with it, fresh insights into shipwrecks in Manx waters.
