Lewis Finishes 8th in Boston

Local distance runner Lewis Crowe finished eighth in the Boston Marathon on Sunday.

No, not THAT Boston Marathon, which takes place ‘across the pond’ next week, but Boston in Lincolnshire.

Do not let that overshadow Lewis’s achievement, as there were 863 finishers in the event.

Boston Marathon

Lewis ran a very impressive time of 2:41:41, taking just over 12 minutes off his previous best set in Valencia last December.

He previously completed the Manchester Marathon last April.

His time yesterday provisionally places him 25th male on my list of all-time fastest Marathons by Isle of Man runners with each competitor only counted once with their fastest performance.

He goes ahead of Jamie Newton, Chris Quine and Murray Lambden.

Lewis is consistently improving, and no doubt has plenty more to come.
