At least four local athletes took part in the annual Brass Monkey Half Marathon based at York Racecourse on Sunday (January 21).
It is a mostly flat and very exposed course that largely follows narrow country lanes, and the strong wind would certainly have had an effect on times. Nevertheless there were some excellent times set:
Sam’s time was a personal best by nearly two minutes and he only just missed a sub-70, while Dawn also set a new personal best and Mark was close to his.
