The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service have been dealing with numerous incidents of flooding as Storm Gerrit swept across the British Isles.
Station Officer David Cowley said that there has been substantial damage to properties and vehicles as a result of the flooding and crews are continuing to do their best to assist.
Heavy rain and wind overnight caused tress to come down and roads flood.
Crews from Douglas and Ramsey have been dispatched to a number of flooding incidents today as a result of the heavy rain that we have had overnight and into this morning.

The Fire service are recommending that homeowners check their drains to ensure that they are not blocked with leaves and other debris.
Dangers of flooding
They are also would like to remind members of the public not to attempt to drive through flooded areas and not to enter flood waters.
Due to the severity of the weather the Mountain Road is closed at this time.
Sandbags available
Residents on the Island are being urged by the Manx Government to be prepared for flooding.
The ground remains saturated following heavy rainfall in recent days.
People are being advised to ensure drains are clear and to put measures in place to protect your property.
Sandbags are being supplied for free by the DOI and can be collected at the four Civic Amenity Sites.
Ferry warnings
The current adverse weather has also affected the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company over the festive period.
Many sailings have been cancelled or delayed due to the adverse weather.
Currently, this afternoons (December 29) sailing from Heysham to Douglas has been delayed at hour until 3pm due to the weather conditions.
