Ollie Lockley carved out a piece of Manx athletics history at the Murray Lambden Meeting by running 10km in sub-30 minutes.
On Sunday (March 2), Lockley won the race in a cracking time of 29:41, running a marginal negative split for his second 5km.
While Ollie was way clear of the men’s field, in the women’s race there was a fantastic four-way battle throughout most of the race.
History Made at Meeting
Only on the last couple of laps did gaps start to appear, and it was Becci Pate who finished the strongest to win in a new pb time of 39:45.
Jess Bryan also dipped under 40 with 39:52, Emily Mylchreest was third in 40:02 and Laura Dickinson was fourth with 40:22.
