A man has appeared in court charged with indecently assaulting a child and rape.
The man, who cannot be named legally, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He denied eight allegations of indecent assault, a further six counts of rape and 19 of inciting a person under 16 to commit gross indecency cannot be heard by the lower court.
Magistrates agreed the case is not suitable for the summary court and set it should be committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
He was bailed in his own recognisance of £500 with conditions including a curfew and attending a police station three times a week.
