A man accused of being involved of an international crime group targeting the island’s immigration system has been remanded in custody.
Sahar Joon, 24, from Hayes, Middlesex, appeared before magistrates on Tuesday.
He has denied conspiring to breach immigration law charging up to £25,000 for forged letters offering jobs on the island.
During his appearance via live-link from the prison, Mr Joon said: “I don’t understand anything that is happening with me.”
He added that he didn’t understand why he was in prison and told magistrates: “I don’t know what is going on.”
He is next due to appear on August 20 for a committal hearing.
