A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision at Barregarrow crossroads.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.55pm tonight following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.
The male rider has been identified as 37-year-old Gareth Underwood. He was taken to Nobles Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The Isle of Man Constabulary confirmed that a male is currently assisting police with enquiries as an investigation into the circumstances of the collision gets under way.
In a statement, police said: “We ask that the public refrain from speculation and respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time.”
Officers have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
The road at Barregarrow was closed for several hours while forensic collision investigators examined the scene.
