Ahead of her return to service on March 28, Manannan is back in the water after completing its annual winter dry-dock period.
The fast craft has now returned to the wet basin at Cammell Laird in Birkenhead.
Manannan, is required to undertake an annual out of water inspection as part of its statutory certification, issued by the Isle of Man Ship Registry.

Manannan is powered by four Caterpillar diesel engines which are serviced on a rotating basis, one being stripped and overhauled each winter.
This work is undertaken by ship’s engineers, Steam Packet’s workshop team and, where necessary, specialist external contractors.
While the packet’s vessels are in dry-dock one of the most important tasks is a thorough inspection and renewal of any areas of the hull which may be showing signs of corrosion or wear.
The hull is also scoured and repainted with specialised marine coatings.
At the same time, the vessel receives planned servicing of the safety equipment onboard including the liferafts and this year it will received brand new rescue boats.
Other areas of safety that have been addressed in the winter work schedule included the replacement of the vessels onboard CCTV system.
