Manannan Leaves Liverpool After Delays

Manannan has left Liverpool after issues around boarding experienced earlier this evening.

Passengers on the sailing from the Liverpool to the island told Manx.News that they aren’t able to board the fast-craft at the government’s £78million terminal.

It is believed that the low-tide in Liverpool is to blame for the problem, an issue which has been affecting the company’s vessels in and out of Douglas.

The company said the ship left Liverpool at 9:17pm and is due in Douglas shortly after midnight.

Meanwhile, flagship Manxman arrived in Douglas just after 9pm.

She had been due to leave Douglas at 9:30pm and left shortly after 10pm.

The return sailing from Heysham is currently scheduled to leave at 5am and is due to arrive in Douglas around 9:30am.

The Steam Packet website said that the ferry docked at the one-year old terminal at 5:31pm.

It was due to leave Liverpool at 7:15pm but that departure was delayed by just over two hours.

A reader told Manx.News that he was due to pick up his wife Holly, mother in law Kez and Ryan.
