The Mann Cat Sanctuary has its special ‘donate a £1 day’ today (March 15).
Although £1 may not seem a lot to donate but if everyone on the charities page donated just £1, then obviously the result would be huge – based on its following of 163,000, thats a fair ol’ bit of cash.
You don’t have to be an absolute animal obsessed person like myself to appreciate the brilliant work the Mann Cat Sanctuary does, I think you just need a heart and a conscience.

The £1 day money will be used to care for its ever increasing numbers of homeless cats.
The charity is receiving constant requests to take in cats, every time another cat arrives it is most important it has the financial means to care for all their needs.
Mann Cat Sanctuary
In December, the charity rescued a cat which was left in a dustbin soaked in diesel and oil.
According to the Mann Cat Sanctuary the cat had been there for “sometime as she was in a dreadful mess”.
It had a call to collect her after she had been discovered late at night. Following veterinary advice, it was told how to remove the diesel and what support treatment she needed.
In February the charity updated us all on the condition of the Annie the cat:
“We had to give her coat several treatments but that still didn’t remove the horrible substance completely and it has had to grow out of her coat. She is now much brighter and was strong enough to be spayed during Dr. Ruth’s last visit.
She really enjoys the Felix taste of good as it looks food if anyone would like to send her some from our wish list – she would be very grateful!”
