A situation over the weekend has left the Mann Cat Sanctuary feeling upset and taken advantage of.
Shortly after 2pm on Sunday (January 26) the charity received a call from an “unpleasant man” who said he had three cats to give to them.
The facility in Santon was shut yesterday due to the weather conditions, which it had posted this on its social media pages.
The charity said it explained that it doesn’t operate in a way in which animals are left without notice, which then led to “some very unpleasant and rude exchanges”.
It said that it was “given the ultimatum that the man was either coming in or leaving them at the gate”.
Mann Cat says it is always theres for “emergencies but when accepting cats we need to make provisions for them as to where they are going and ideally knowing something about them as to where best to put them”.
The ordeal has left the charity feeling completely taken advantage of and has made for a very upsetting afternoon.
