In 2023 local cake designer Aimee Ford had beaten thousands of other hopefuls to reach the final of the worlds most prestigious competition in the cake world – the DMA Awards.
And now twelve months on, the 38-year-old has again been placed as a finalist in four categories including the industry’s most prestigious award ‘Cake designer of the Year’.
The D’licious Magazine Awards (DMA) are the ‘Oscars’ for the cake world and attract over eleven thousand entries each year.
This year, Aimee has been selected as one of only a handful of finalists by internationally renowned experts. She will compete against peers from the USA, Dubai and from some of the worlds biggest cities.
Global Name
Aimee has cemented her position as a leader in the international cake community and is fast becoming a global name.
She judges and teaches at Cake International, the world’s largest cake show, and is a brand ambassador for major companies like The Cake Decorating Company, Couture, Clairella, and BrambleSky.
In 2024, she taught at Germany’s Dortmund International Cake Show and has already been invited back for Cake International 2025.
AF Product Line
Aimee has also launched her own cake-making product line, which has quickly become a hit among professionals and hobbyists alike. Known for blending modern art, fashion, and design into edible masterpieces, her creations are celebrated as one-of-a-kind works of art.
