Many Manx runners took to multiple marathons across the United Kingdom and further afield this week.
From Blackpool, to London, to Madrid – the Manxies were everywhere, and doing our island proud.
First up is undoubtably the one we all kept a watchful eye on, London Marathon.
London Marathon
Temperatures experienced in London yesterday were up to at least 21 degrees.
But the heat, just the same as Port Erin on a sunny day, certainly didn’t slow down our 39 (!!!!) Manx representatives.

Multiple Marathons
We won’t let London take all the glory as we also had Manchester Marathon taking place with a whooping 22 Manx representatives.
David Griffiths understood it was equally warm there as it was in London, making running a Marathon an even tougher undertaking than it normally is.

Blackpool Marathon
Western AC’s Helen Taylor lead her age group at the Blackpool Marathon.
Having been absent from running through injury for some time, Helen made an impressive return to form in the Blackpool Marathon yesterday.
This was Helen’s 22nd Marathon finish where she ran a time of 3:31:51 to finish eighth overall in the women’s race, and was the leading finisher in the women’s 50 age group.
Double Joy For Jess
Over to Marathons in ever warmer climates, we have Jess Bryan who had a magical day at Madrid Marathon.
Jess completed her debut Marathon in a really excellent time of 3:15:27 in very warm conditions.
On crossing the finish line she was greeted by her partner Jordan Kelly who got down on one knee and popped the all-important question.
Happily the answer was yes – Congratulations Jess and Jordy!
