The Isle of Man’s hopes at the 2026 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) have suffered a major setback after both Jamie McCanney and Jack Keenan were forced to retire with technical problems.
McCanney’s withdrawal was confirmed today after a mechanical issue ended the former world champion’s event prematurely.
Later in the day, the ACU British ISDE Team announced that 20-year-old Manx rider Jack Keenan has also been forced out of the competition on day two due to a technical issue with his bike.
In a statement, the team said: “It’s unbelievable to be writing this, but Team GB can confirm that Jack Keenan has been forced to retire from the 2026 6DAYS on Day 2 due to a technical issue.
“That’s all three Trophy teams out of contention now for Great Britain. We are more than devastated.”
Keenan had been competing in the Junior Trophy class, while McCanney received a late call-up to the senior British team after an injury ruled out 10-time world champion Steve Holcombe.
The only remaining Manx rider in the British set-up is British Enduro Champion Jed Etchells, who remains in action as the six-day event continues.
