McGuinness to Lead From The Front

The legendary John McGuinness will lead the field in this year’s Superbike, Superstock and Senior TT Races.

With this year’s TT marking 29 years since the Morecambe Missile first competed in the world’s best road race, fans will be dreaming of seeing him build on last year’s best finish of fifth with a return to the podium.

The 23-time winner will make his 112th TT start in the Superbike race, with teammate and Laxey resident Dean Harrison who will very likely be in the mix for a win in his second year with Honda, setting off at four.

Moving up to number two is David Johnson (Platinum Club Racing Kawasaki), the Australian hoping for a trouble-free campaign. He’s followed by regular top-six finisher Jamie Coward, who has switched to the KTS Racing powered by Stanley Stewart BMW in search of a podium.

Dunlop

James Hillier retains the number five spot, ahead of the most successful rider in TT history, Michael Dunlop. With 29 wins, Dunlop is speculated to switch to BMW power as he targets a repeat of his 2023 Superbike triumph.

Josh Brookes starts a third successive TT at number seven, this time on the Jackson Racing powered by Prosper2 Honda. Ten seconds later, Davey Todd (8TEN Racing BMW) begins his bid to defend last year’s Superstock and Senior victories.

Mike Browne (MLav Racing BMW) is seeded in the top ten for the first time at number nine, while Peter Hickman (8Ten Racing BMW) starts at ten, having won seven of the last ten 1000cc races.

Conor Cummins (Burrows Engineering / RK Racing BMW) makes his debut on the German machine at 11, followed by 16-time winner Ian Hutchinson (MLav Racing BMW).

Dominic Herbertson (13), Craig Neve (14) and Rob Hodson (15) complete the early seeded runners, with James Hind (16) a first-time seeded rider in the 1000cc class. Shaun Anderson (17), Phil Crowe (18), Nathan Harrison (19) and Paul Jordan (20) round out a fiercely competitive top twenty.
