All present members of CoMin voted against extending today’s question time, denying members a chance to ask questions about the Mandate to Manx Care.
Three questions were tabled on the issue, with further questions on Ballasalla school swimming lessons and Port St Mary speed limits.
With Daphne Caine absent, all other nine ministers voted against extending question time, joined by Speaker Juan Watterson and Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan.
All MLCs voted in favour of taking the questions.
The five questions that weren’t taken were 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 on the order paper.
