The Steam Packet has apologised to customers following the cancellation of Sunday and Monday’s Manannan sailings due to a generator fault.
Passengers are being transferred to Manxman sailings where possible, with coach transfers arranged for foot passengers between Liverpool and Heysham.
Ben-my-Chree will also operate overnight freight services to free up additional capacity.technical fault.
A spokesperson said: “A significant technical issue overnight Saturday prevented the vessel from sailing on Sunday and despite the best efforts of crew and engineers, more time is required to resolve the issue.”
The company said: “Manannan experienced a failure of a generator which will require significant maintenance and testing before it can recommence service.”
Engineers are working to resolve the issue, with a further update expected by 5pm on Monday.
Managing Director Brian Thomson said: “We’re very sorry about these cancellations and we apologise for the disruption caused. We’re working hard to get things back on track as soon as we can.
“Our Reservations Team will do everything they can to ensure customers get where they need to go.”
