Commercial uptake of Manx Utilities’ Guaranteed Green Tariff has grown over the past year, according to new data released in a written Tynwald answer.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson asked how many commercial customers were using the tariff and how much energy they consumed over the past 12 months.
Manx Utilities Chair John Wannenburgh said 16 customers took part in the scheme in the year to 31 March 2025, using 10.9 GWh of certified renewable electricity.
A draft report for the year to 31 March 2026, still subject to audit, shows participation rising to 19 customers, with consumption totalling 9.5 GWh.
The tariff is independently assured and reported annually, with full details published on the Manx Utilities website.
