A new free platform giving residents and businesses a live, AI-powered view of the Isle of Man’s economy, environment and infrastructure has launched.
Smart Island, developed by Manx Technology Group, combines millions of public data points into a single dashboard offering real-time insights on topics from job market trends and broadband performance to curlew sightings and rainfall.
At its core is the AI Observatory, which analyses every Isle of Man job vacancy daily, assessing automation risk. Seven AI Advisors provide weekly, data-driven guidance for job seekers, employers and policymakers.
The platform also features a Biosphere Observatory, drawing on over 1.5 million species records and live environmental data from IoT sensors.

The business said its platform will soon incorporate Tynwald Hansard and parliamentary data to allow users to search and explore political discussions in plain English.
