Just one week after Sarah Astin broke the women’s 10k record, David Mullarkey has done exactly the same in breaking the men’s record.
In his debut 10k track race, David ran a fantastic time of 27:51.8 seconds at the Stanford Invitational Meeting at Stanford University, California.
Once this record is ratified, David will hold current IOM records at 1.5k, one mile, 3k, 5k and 10k.
The time also currently ranks him number two in the UK for 2025, just eight seconds behind Ellis Cross and 18 seconds ahead of Rory Leonard.
