Bushy’s Brewery will be releasing a new beer in time for the 2024 Manx Grand Prix.
The beer, which is in collaboration with the 59 Motorcycle Club, is called the 59 Ton Up Traditional Ale.
It will be launched throughout the network of pubs on the island that stock Bushy’s fine ales from August 18
It’s hoped that in time the beer will be available internationally in cans and bottles to the 59 Club’s 32,000 members and other discerning bikers around the world.
New Beer
Bushy’s founder Martin Brunnschweiler said he first became aware of the 59 Club when he was 17-years-old in London and worked with a couple of friendly members who had admired his 250 BSA Starfire.
Martin has always had a fascination with the club and was delighted when they agreed to collaborate with Bushy’s Brewery on making this traditional style ruby ale.
Dick Bennett from the 59 Club says that since the club was established in 1962 members have visited the Isle of Man regularly to attend the TT and MGP.
The club have been drinking Bushy’s beers since they started brewing in the 1980s and it’s gone down well at 59 Club barbecues and other gatherings on the island and are “honoured” to be associated with this traditional beer.
Both parties are hopeful that this joint venture will raise the profiles of each party and raise funds for the Club’s charitable aims.
