New Billboard For Airport?

Billboards.im has applied for planning permission for a new digital advertising installation at Isle of Man Airport.

The company says the structure named The Wing, would form the centrepiece of its privately funded scheme at Roundabout 1, the main gateway for all inbound airport traffic.

Designed as a modern, architecturally considered digital display, the structure is intended to create a stronger first impression for visitors while generating a new commercial revenue stream for the Airport.

Billboards.im says the project requires no capital contribution from the Airport or the Department of Infrastructure, with all design, installation, operational and maintenance costs covered by the company.

It highlights its track record delivering digital advertising infrastructure across the island in partnership with public‑sector bodies.

The firm argues that Roundabout 1 offers a high‑visibility, high‑dwell location suited to premium digital advertising and that The Wing would bring the Airport’s external advertising provision in line with contemporary standards seen at UK regional airports.
