Richard Henthorn has announced he will be standing in Garff in the upcoming House of Keys election.
He said: “I’ve been involved in business, the community and volunteer groups in Garff for over 30 years and I’m currently chair of Garff Commissioners.”
He said the Mooir Vannin wind farm proposal was “most important issue facing Garff”, adding: “I feel the only way to now represent our community is at the highest level within Tynwald.”
There are seven other candidates standing in Garff. They are Anthony Allen, Sean Bostrom, Daphne Caine, Aishlinn Creer, Vicki Hewison, Peter Kermeen and Martyn Perkins.
The House of Keys election takes place on September 24.
