Manx Care has welcomed two new permanent team members at Thie Bee Staff Restaurant in Noble’s Hospital.
Their appointment follows a successful supported employment scheme in partnership with Tall Trees Day Services for adults with learning disabilities.
Hannah and Elizabeth completed their training with the support of Retail Manager Liz Lillis-Ingram and have embraced their roles with “fantastic commitment and enthusiasm.”
Hannah, working two hours a week as a Dish Wash Operative, assists the restaurant team by providing “clean crockery, cutlery, and utensils during busy periods.”
Elizabeth, employed four hours a week as a Cleaning Operative, ensures the “effective cleaning of our changing room” and performs “damp dusting and cleaning of our furniture.”
Manx Care said it was “so pleased to highlight Hannah’s and Elizabeth’s achievements” and celebrated the initiative’s success in fostering “a more inclusive and supportive workplace for individuals with learning disabilities.”
